Driving through the mountains of northwestern North Carolina in November of 2010 this image flashed past on my left. I had to turn around and drive back to snap a few shots. This is the one I liked best.
Mabry Mill is one of the most photographed sites on the Blue Ridge Parkway. On this day, a late afternoon drive back to North Carolina and our cabin, the sun was just catching the top of the mill as it set in the west.
From one of my spring road trips. This field was different from most in that it was glowing golden. Probably not a good sign I now know.
