My days follow a pattern, I spend time on the back porch with my first cup of coffee after waking the first grandkid. There I spend about an hour on my daily Coffee Muses. Before I set pixel to screen, I check in on a few of my fellow WordPressers to see what they’ve been up to.
From then I wander back inside and wake the other grandkid before reading emails and starting what has been monopolizing my time recently… Updating my web presence in a once in a lifetime election.
Today’s readings led to a few frothy statements I agree with…
It seems that the people have clearly spoken. Even so, with a sitting administration that seems more hellbent on undermining our democracy than even pretending to address the pandemic that is now fully out of control across the country, it seems like a lot of folks need reassurance that the will of the people will be carried out.
Rockwell Kent and Reason, Again by Gary Myers
Now Gary and I share a lot besides our first names. His positions on the state of American politics is right on as for as I’m concerned. And while he lives in a nice blue state, his rural region of that state feels very much like my sub-rural area. He also happens to be my favorite living artist. I have a number of his prints on my walls.
Another very creative person living with the blues from a red state is John Scalzi… An award winning author and blogger. As he puts it in the masthead of Whatever, his blog…”Taunting the tauntable since 1998

It’s frustrating for me to continually have my nose rubbed in the fact that the GOP literally does not give a crap about anything other than the GOP and the GOP’s interests (coddling the rich; tossing civil rights over the side to keep its white supremacist base engaged), but here we are in November 2020 and the GOP is acting absolutely to spec.

Once again we are forced to watch a petulant schoolyard bully bluster and lie about winning this election. It was the fraudulent Democrats… all of his fawning followers know that we Democrats are all crooks and thieves. The losing Liar-in-Chief told them so.
It’s time Donald, put us out of your misery… you lost… bigley… Fantasy Island has been cancelled. You’re being sent back to reality land… Now it’s time to let the real pros on the field.
